We stayed at the Metropolitan Boutique Hotel and could not have been happier with our choice. It was very central to everywhere we needed to get to, most places were 20 minutes walk away.

You can get a train from the airport to the hotel (SKA1 I believe, around 7 stops to Krakow main station) with a little bit of walking in between, but we opted to get a transfer which was reasonably priced – around £15-£20 each way. We pre-booked this on Booking.com.

On arrival at the hotel, the staff were very welcoming. The check-in process was very quick and they also pointed out some local areas of interest on a map for us. Our room was on the first floor, we had booked a Classic Double. It was very spacious, quiet, clean, and modern. It was overlooking the central courtyard area which was also nice.

The hotel itself was off a main road, so we didn’t really hear any noise of traffic, but also being in the inside area of the hotel probably helped!

In terms of restaurants and bars, we’ve made a post about the places we went to in Krakow, but the hotel also had a restaurant and bar (although it wasn’t technically part of the hotel). You could walk straight through from reception and use the courtyard area, but you couldn’t charge things back to your room. It didn’t really make any difference to us though.

The restaurant was also where the breakfast was served, the breakfast was pretty good although the service could be a little bit slow when it was busy. There was a choice of buffet style hot and cold food and you could also order an omelette with a choice of fillings.
